“ Landed same morning in KL, checked in hotel at around 1 pm and walked to Chinatown longing for food. AlBaik very easy to identify, almost opposite to iconic Central Market. First ordered for Onion Egg Roti, the signature everyday food in Malaysia. Flour roti stuffed with egg and onion, lightly fried, served with three delightful gravies all with different tastes, one a chicken gravy. Was still a bit hungry after this then ordered an Ayam Murtabak. This is a flour roti with double filling of minced chicken, onion and spices, again served with three gravies. Very tasteful and very heavy. One of this is very adequate for a meal. So I was a bit over filled, but felt happy that I could taste the quintessential food of Malaysia on first day of my visit. Price is very reasonable. Then sat some more time watching people walking by with a glass of Kopi O black coffee with sugar, another signature drink of Malaysia. ”

“ Im picky about the quality of rotis crispiness. Al Baiks rotis are great! I really liked the crispiness of my roti canai. The servers and the roti maker were so kind. We had a little difficulty understanding each other but they would make a lot of efforts to try to understand what I wanted and served me their best crispy roti. A big plus point for their kindness and personality! ”

“ Very good restaurant to eat quick simple dish. I came multiple time and everytime they help me choose food since Im vegan, they manages to adapt or suggest yummy food depending what I was craving, the staff is very nice and everything is cheap. Sometimes a bit busy but its easy to find a place to sit, also there is a sink to wash your hands outside which is nice ”

Very spicy and tasty indeed! For a restaurant in the middle of the heart of Kuala Lumpur, I have to say their food prices are exceptionally cheap!! Would definitely come again to try their megi goreng next time! ”

“ 24 hours serving cheap and delicious roti. They have sweet and savory options. Service was quick. Didnt get a chance to try their biriyani or other dishes. Located near the National mosque and the Islamic museum. Pay after you finish your dish. Cash only! The place does not have soap to wash your hands. ”
